Fundraising

In 2002 Palo Alto Unified School District restricted PTAs, which are school specific, to only paying for “stuff” not “staff” in an effort to create an equal educational environment for all children in Palo Alto. PiE was created to address the need for equal staff funding. PiE allocates money to all schools on a per student basis and is currently the only way Palo Alto can raise money to pay for the much needed Aides and Specialists.
